    An established 30 year old yet growing $150M+ technology company, with 200 employees in multiple states, based in Houston, is seeking a Team Lead for our Principal Engineering Team in Houston, TX.  This hands on Team Lead role will be responsible for the day to day management of operational issues affecting both our clients and internal datacenter.  This role will also provide support for both our NOC and lead a team of engineers who support our 24/7 hosted services including but not limited to Virtualization, Storage, Compute, Networking, Messaging, and Cloud.

    • Ensure consistency of process continuation and completion of deliverables
    • Manage datacenter change management and rollback process
    • Ensure all SOC based policies and guidelines are followed to ensure organizational compliance
    • Liaise with Principal Engineering Team and clients to own the remediation of priority issues from identification to resolution
    • Suggest improvements to environment to raise reliability and availability of our Systems Management and Orchestration Platform.
    • Coordinate and execute client on-boarding initiatives and customer related projects through both individual efforts and teamwork.
    • Contributes to team effort by managing interpersonal relationships in a positive and effective manner accomplishing positive results through cooperative efforts with all departments; and contributing to the achievement of an ethical work environment
    • Other duties as required to perform the job

     

    Qualifications

    • Works effectively across multiple roles and technologies to achieve business goals
    • 5 Years Microsoft Active Directory Administration with experience in installing / maintaining Windows Server 2008 R2 / 2012 / 2012 R2/2016
    • An understanding of VOIP Technologies including but not limited to Cisco Collaboration ,Voice Solutions and Skype for Business
    • Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery
    • Public Cloud Computing:  Microsoft Azure, Microsoft O365, and AWS
    • Experience with DNS, DHCP, WINS, Active Directory Group Policy
    • SQL server experience is a plus
    • Strong knowledge of compute/storage/firewall/network products/protocols in LAN/WAN environments
    • Strong verbal/written communication skills
    • Virtualization Experience Required:  VMware and HYPER-V 
    • Must interact well in a team environment, and possess an above average ability to intercept, analyze, and resolve technical issues
    • Self-starter, highly organized and able to work with minimum supervision
    • Adept at troubleshooting and able to deal effectively in a fast-paced environment
    • 4-year degree or equivalent work experience
    • Certifications:  CCNA, ITIL, MCSE, and VMware are a plus
